This hybrid salvia combines good features of both its parents, Salvia microphylla and Salvia chamedryoides. Textured dark green leaves are neat and upright stems form a dense mass. Dark purple flowers appear from spring to fall. Spreads by underground rhizomes, but is easily controlled.
