Foothill penstemon can be quite variable in form and flower color. In this seed strain, plants have attractive shiny, bluish green leaves sometimes tinged with red. Dense spikes of narrowly bell shaped bright blue blossoms grace the plants from late spring to fall. Sun to part shade, well drained soil, moderate to little watering. Moderate watering and cutting back spent flower stems will encourage repeat bloom.
