This is an uncommon but very beautiful plant where it is found in its native range of New Mexico. Low rosettes of oval blue-grey leaves are attractive all year; flower spikes to 2 feet or a little longer carry vivid coral orange flowers in summer. Sun, good drainage, moderate watering.
