'Canyon Velvet' is a Pacifica iris selection from the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, forming robust clumps to 18 inches. Rich purple flowers show up well against medium green leaves and are abundant in spring. Sun or part shade, reasonably well drained soil, moderate to little watering when established. Hardy to 15 degrees F. or less.
