Upright in habit, this manzanita can reach 6 feet or more in height. It has stout, smooth dark purplish trunks, an open branching habit, and soft grey green leaves. Pale pink flowers are abundant in spring and attract hummingbirds. Sun, well drained soil, occasional to no supplemental watering once established.
